Chinmaya Organisation for Rural Development, Sri Lanka, took immediate action during the national Covid-19 emergency from January to June 2021, to support poor rural families with children with much-needed food items. Emergency dry rations were distributed, including rice, flour, dal and soya to over 220 families and 63 sponsored children in Piramandanaru, Ulavanoor, Kallaru, Tharmapuram, Nathan Thiitam, Kannahi, Nagar, Sivapuram, Visvamadu and Paranthan.
